About Us

Picture
César Chávez Academy began its journey in 1995 as a single elementary school educating students in grades K-5 with enrollment of approximately 200 students. Since then, César Chávez has expanded its campuses to five locations; CCA-East (K-6), CCA-Lower Elementary (K-2), CCA-Upper Elementary (3-5), CCA-Middle (6-8), and CCA-High (9-12).

The enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year reached 2,200 and waiting lists are maintained at virtually every grade level. The academy is over 90% Hispanic, 94% free and reduced lunch, and 74% of its students are English language learners.

The district leadership, staff, with committed support from The Leona Group, LLC, Saginaw Valley State University, community members and stakeholders, have also contributed to the success of the CCA district.
